By March 2010, in an interview with MTV United Kingdom, Lady Gaga stated that she had begun work on her new studio (third) album and already finished writing the core theme of it.By June 2010, in an interview with Rolling Stone, Lady Gaga stated that her third studio album was finished but will not be released until 2011.
Lady Gaga said:
"It came so quickly. I've been working on it for months, and I feel very strongly that it's finished right now. Some artists take years. I don't. I write music every day."
Lady Gaga also stated that she's planning to announce the new album's title at midnight on New Year's Eve by tattooing it to her body.
