Yes, because the iPhone was low res for a device you hold up to your nose and a typical consumer, which is what Apple design for, could easily see the pixels.
I am wondering how many typical consumers, when viewing at the distance you would view, say a 24" monitor, can make out individual pixels.
I do know Apple's font smoothing is a little, ummmm, shall we say, different to what Microsoft do, so perhaps typefaces do look more jaggy on a Mac than they do on a PC ?

I hope this isnt true but if it is then a January release of an iPhone 5 would be possible. Apple used to announce new hardware every January at Macworld until they stopped attending.
As far as I know there are no big Apple product updates in January so iPhone would fit in quite nicely here. Remember the first iPhone was announced at Macworld 2007.
Now Apple has firmly established its manufacturers they could gear up iPhone 5 production at the end of 2011 and have enough stock for a January release.

You cannot distribute the 2 to the parenthesis because its binded by a division sign. You can only distribute if 48 was being added or subtracted from the 2.

My 3GS audio jack is so screwed up I can't really play music anymore, which I used it for all the time. I wonder if I should just get an iPhone4 now, which should let me get a 6 only a couple months after release. Hmm...

I seem to remember the "backing up your library" to the "cloud" was tried by someone before. They had software that scanned the CD in your drive and then either ripped it to their servers, or just unlocked access to that album in your account. RIAA brought them down. This seems a little different, and highly wasteful of space. If 500 people upload a copy of "whatever," Amazon has to store 500x the space of "whatever," rather then just unlocking one copy for 500x people. Keep in mind 1 meg of cloud space is easily over 10 megs of physical storage. (RAID, redundancy, geographical peers, backups, etc...)

It was nearly perfect. Amazon's offering here is a good step back towards they way things were a year ago with Lala.com.
I had nearly 100 GB of itunes library synced to lala.com and available anywhere there was a browser. I could listen to any song or album in their massive library one time all the way through for free. "web albums" were 99 cents. Tracks were 10 cents. My biggest gripe was the lack of a non-browser player option. Of course they were working on an iOS player app (in public beta) when Apple bought them and shut them down without ceremony.
Whatever we get will be less than what Lala was 2 years or more ago. They had the support of all the major labels and most of the larger indie distributors, as well.

There is a 0% chance that Apple is going to go another year or more without an iPhone release.
FFS if they released an iPhone 4.01 with 2 megs more ram and a .01% faster processor, about 10 million people would line up on launch day for it. They're leaving money on the table if they don't release something. Anything.

Im hearing so many good things about Sophos, If this is their first offering to consumers, are they offering Sophos for home users on Windows?
Im using AVG 2011 Free Edition at the moment, and haven't had any problems with it, is it worth getting Sophos?

doubtful, this is a key switcher market... it would be crazy to axe the very thing that will continue to switch the PC builders/gamers over the next 5 years... this is a key ingredient to apple taking the industry over with time.
Apple will not take the desktop industry over, at least not whilst it's using intel processors and chipsets and charging far more for them than other vendors.
You are essentially now using a PC with EFI firmware and OSX operating system. The only advantage over a hackintosh is that it's all fine tuned, modified and tested under one roof together with Apples software and of course styled with a modern, warm, minimalist form using quality materials but which does not leave any room for custom modding, water cooling, tri-quad SLI\X-Fire etc that PC modders crave.
In my opinion with virtualization age starting and conventions/standards now being more robust we are coming to a time where it's going to be all "same ****, different logo and GUI" and the cheaper, more feature rich option will win out.
The desktop market has been exhausted and its time passed anywhere, so now it's all about mobile and portable computing.
Nokia is partnering with Ms, those are two big, strong boys right there and will give everyone a run for their money. Add to that Microsofts kinect technology and you have new ways of controlling PC's, HTPC's and even mobiles. I have a feeling we're in for a surprise. I have to agree with some previous posters on here; its not going to be the featureset, but the implementation.
I have a Samsung Smartphone, and WinMobile isnt terrible, but its far from smooth or an enjoyable use. That being said, when you have "real" internet (aka not something that is just for phone use) and "real" Instant Messaging, you begin to actually use these things. The T-Mobile Sidekick, although a bit geared to the younger crowd, its a very good device in terms of its functionality and user interface.
I basically see the iPhone as a better designed, better user interfaced, and EXTREMELY easy to charge and Sync with a computer. Just like an iPod. All these phones lack in the sync department, Apple could dominate this (which, apart from the user interface, is the thing that sets the ipod apart. Plug it ina and it just works, no fuss)
Expect to see it sold through Apple unlocked, around 400-450 dollars. People used to pay that for an iPod, they will do so for a phone. Especially when there are VERY expensive ringtones, songs, etc. Apple will be the more economical choice in light of the expensive "services" the providers offer.
The industry will change. MS will release the "Pune" in 3 years to kill iPhone. In brown.

So far I think the phone calls sound fine for the person on the other end, and OK on my end; at freeway speeds my car is loud so I have to listen carefully.
I think the mount's GPS chip signal is actually routed through the dock connection. Just phone (and app voice, if necessary) connect through bluetooth. Maybe this is because Apple doesn't let non-audio devices of any sort to connect through bluetooth; if they did, then we'd all have been using external bluetooth gps receivers long ago.

It just re-inforces my belief there is an organized effort to discredit Apple on this site. If it was just individuals, I would wonder why waste time on an Apple website if you did not like Apple? It makes no sense in that scenario. I do believe the PC establishment is worried about the possibility of Apple gaining more of a foothold in corporate America.
